# CosmosMC

> CosmosMC is a free, public Minecraft server network. Its flagship gamemode is an Earth SMP (survival multiplayer) on a 1:80 scale map of the real Earth; it also runs a classic Survival SMP with a 40,000 x 40,000 block world, OneBlock, and the one-of-a-kind Islands SMP. Both Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition are supported with full crossplay. There is no whitelist and no application - anyone can join. CosmosMC is operated by Lunars World LLC.

## Key facts

- Earth SMP: 1:80 scale replica of the real Earth - one of the largest-scale public Minecraft Earth maps. Terrain is real Earth geography; all buildings are player-made, so players can be the first to build their real house, street, or city. Travel via the /warp menu or /wild random teleport.
- Survival SMP: classic survival on a 40,000 x 40,000 block world.
- Islands SMP: one-of-a-kind semi-vanilla survival - the world generates as islands floating over the void, slightly more challenging. Progression focuses on exploration: players collect biome fractals hidden across the islands and spend them to unlock new dimensions. Land claiming and real estate work here too.
- Other gamemodes: OneBlock.
- Land claiming: click with a golden shovel to claim and protect builds.
- Economy: entirely player-run (no admin shops); income is earned through jobs, quests, fishing, and real estate.
- PvP: dedicated keep-inventory PvP arena, open to visit anytime.
- Griefing: not allowed in any form - a friendly, laid-back community.
- Worlds never reset - progress is permanent.
- Features: guilds, player trading, regular community events.
- Vehicles: planes, tanks, helicopters, race cars, tractors, drills, hoverbikes, and trains on every gamemode - purchased from the in-game /shop with in-game money. Tractors help farming, drills help mining, planes help travel.
- Real estate: players list their claims for sale on the real estate market (all gamemodes except OneBlock); claims of players inactive for over a year expire and are listed automatically.
- Furniture: available on all gamemodes, purchased from the in-game /shop.
- No mods required: custom content like vehicles and furniture works through a resource pack that loads automatically when joining.
- Cost: free to play, public, no whitelist.
- Scale and history: over 3 million unique players; the server has been running for over 6 years.
