What version of Minecraft do I need?
Any version works. CosmosMC supports every Minecraft version on both Java and Bedrock Edition, so you can join with whatever you already play on.
Is CosmosMC free to play?
Yes. CosmosMC is a public Minecraft server network with no whitelist and no application process. Anyone can join and play for free.
What is Islands SMP?
Islands SMP is CosmosMC's one-of-a-kind take on semi-vanilla survival: the entire world generates as islands floating over the void, the difficulty is turned up a notch, and new dimensions unlock as you progress.
Is there PvP?
Yes - in a dedicated PvP arena with keep-inventory enabled. Jump in for a fight whenever you like without risking your gear.
Is griefing allowed on CosmosMC?
No - griefing of any kind is against the rules. CosmosMC is a friendly, laid-back community, and land claiming keeps your builds protected on top of that.
Do the worlds ever reset?
No. None of CosmosMC's gamemodes reset - your builds, claims, and progress are permanent.
Does CosmosMC have vehicles?
Yes - planes, tanks, helicopters, race cars, tractors, drills, hoverbikes, and trains are available on every gamemode, purchased from the in-game /shop with in-game money.
Does CosmosMC have furniture?
Yes - furnish your builds with real furniture, purchased from the in-game /shop. It works on every gamemode.
Are mods required to play?
No - no mods are required. Everything is handled through a resource pack that loads automatically when you join.
How does the economy work?
The economy is entirely player-run - prices and trade come from real players buying and selling, not admin shops. All income is earned through jobs, quests, fishing, and real estate.

What is CosmosMC?
CosmosMC is a free, public Minecraft server network with full Java and Bedrock crossplay and no whitelist. Its flagship gamemode is an Earth SMP played on a 1:80 scale map of the real Earth - one of the largest-scale Minecraft Earth maps of any public server - alongside classic Survival, OneBlock, and the one-of-a-kind Islands SMP. The community is friendly and laid back: no griefing, no world resets, and an economy run entirely by players.
