Terms of Service

Effective date: July 29, 2026

1. Acceptance

These terms apply to everything Lunars World LLC operates under the CosmosMC name: our websites, our Minecraft servers, our store, and our Discord server (together, the "Services"). By joining our Minecraft servers, using our websites, or taking part in our Discord, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. You must also comply with the agreements of the platforms we build on, including the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement and Discord's Terms of Service.

3. Your account

Your access is tied to your Minecraft account, and to your Discord account where you use our Discord. You are responsible for what happens through your accounts. Do not share accounts, use someone else's account, or misrepresent who you are to our staff.

4. Rules of conduct

The rules published in-game and in our Discord form part of these terms. They include, but are not limited to, the following. We may update them as the network changes.

No cheating. Hacked clients, and modifications that give an unfair advantage - x-ray, freecam, reach, aim assistance, or similar.
No macros or automation. Macros, scripts, auto-clickers, and anything else that plays for you or automates actions.
No griefing. Damaging, destroying, or stealing from other players' builds, claims, or containers.
No exploiting. Abusing bugs or glitches, and duplicating items or currency. Bugs should be reported to staff rather than used.
No real-money trading. Buying or selling accounts, ranks, in-game items, or currency for real-world money - on third-party marketplaces, in other Discord servers, or anywhere else. Trading items and currency with other players inside the game is fine; trading them for real money is not.
No harassment. Threats, hate speech, sexual harassment, or targeting other players. This applies in chat, in voice, and in our Discord.
No scamming or impersonation. Including impersonating staff.
No spam or advertising. In chat, in voice, or in our Discord.
No disruption or probing. Attempting to overload or attack the Services, or to scrape, probe, or reverse engineer them in order to discover non-public functionality.

To be clear about what is allowed: minimaps and radar, client packs such as Lunar, Badlion, and Feather, shaders, and performance or quality-of-life mods are all fine. You do not need any mods to play - our resource pack loads automatically and handles the custom content.

5. Purchases and virtual items

Ranks, cosmetics, in-game currency, and other store items are licensed to you for use on our servers under a limited and revocable licence. They are not your property, they have no real-world monetary value, and they cannot be cashed out or exchanged for money.

Ranks are tied to the account they were bought for and cannot be given or sold to another player. If you are moving to a different Minecraft account, contact us and we can move your rank across to it.

Cosmetics, in-game currency, and items behave like any other in-game object once delivered, and you are free to trade them with other players through normal in-game means. What you may not do is trade any of it for real-world money; see the real-money trading rule in section 4.

Purchases are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds, except where the law requires us to. Please make sure you want something before buying it.

If you have a problem with an order, contact us first. Starting a chargeback instead of contacting us may result in your account being suspended.

Payments are handled by Tebex Limited as merchant of record, under their own checkout terms and privacy policy. Their terms cover the payment transaction itself; these terms cover your use of our servers and everything else described here. We may adjust, rebalance, or retire virtual items as part of running the game.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create on the Services - builds, messages, screenshots, and suggestions. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content in order to run and promote the network. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

7. Enforcement

We may warn, mute, kick, temporarily ban, or permanently ban accounts that break these terms, and we may restrict access to the Services at our discretion in order to protect players and the network. Enforcement may extend to other accounts we identify as belonging to the same person, which is why we keep the connection records described in our Privacy Policy. Punishments can be disputed through our appeal process in Discord.

Banned accounts are not entitled to refunds of prior purchases. If your account is banned, any ranks, cosmetics, or other items bought for it are forfeited.

Separately from enforcement, we may suspend, change, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, to meet a legal obligation, or because we are no longer able to operate them.

8. Availability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep the network online, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Maintenance, updates, balancing changes, bugs, rollbacks, or technical failures may result in the loss of progress, virtual items, currency, or statistics. Resource worlds are regenerated periodically by design, so anything left in them will be lost.

If something goes wrong and you lose progress or items, please open a ticket in our Discord and we will do what we can to help. We cannot promise that everything can be recovered, but we would rather hear about it and try than have you lose out quietly.

Where we describe builds, claims, and progress as permanent, we mean that we do not wipe or reset our main worlds - that is a commitment we intend to keep. It is not a guarantee that the Services will run forever; like any online service, they could eventually change or end. Should a gamemode or server ever close, access to it and to its virtual items ends with it, earlier purchases are not refunded, and we would give reasonable notice where practical.

CosmosMC is not an official Minecraft product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang AB, Microsoft, or Discord.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. This does not remove any consumer protection rights you have under the law of the country or state you live in.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the rules published in-game and in our Discord, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Services, and replace anything said elsewhere.

11. Privacy

How we handle your data - including chat logging, voice transcription, and IP history - is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in our Discord, and the effective date above will be updated. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
